Delmarva Port Service opened its operations in 1992. Delmarva began as an expansion of Worldwide Moving Systems (A-Whisco Inc) headquartered in Waldorf, MD. The port operation was started at the request of customers who were frustrated with the lack of service in the port of Baltimore. Since that time, Delmarva has grown to be one of the largest port operations in Baltimore and currently represents approximately ninety-five different freight forwarders in the commercial and military household goods industry.
